More Than One Body?
Say whaat?! I’m too busy being worried about the appearance of my physical body to hear you say I have more than one body.
Is this your mindset? Have you been lost in this state of mind before? Stuck in a fixed or fixated mindset?
The physical body is NOT the only body. In addition to the physical body, we have our emotional body and our breath body as well. When we join all three together in our Yoga Practice, we align and illuminate out a brighter more peaceful aura. The energy we transmit is calmer and steadier. The energy we feel internally has more clarity and beauty.
When we are only in our physical body, our focus is simply on the look of the body itself. We view our body and what we like and do not like about how it looks from our lens. Our breath body is on autopilot and our emotional body is unbalanced.
Finding our mat allows us to actively choose to check in and bring our awareness to all three of our bodies. The asana practice or the physical practice is simply the distraction for our mind. The physical benefits from a dedicated practice are simply the icing on the delicious cupcake of yoga. Once we can distract the mind with the physical challenges of an asana practice, we can then take more care of our breath body, pranayama body. We can focus on the inhale & exhale and the gifts a deep breath provides our neurological system. What the gift of breathing correctly does for our physical body as well as our emotional body, is profound. The deeper your breath in asana practice, the more you can begin to notice and process the emotions that arise in each pose and transition. You can be a witness to the energy that is being filtered through the body and the breath. You can become aware of habits and ways your mind pulls you out of the present moment and into the past or the future. You are able to find clarity and full awareness of the power that comes from aligning all three bodies in the present moment.
Align, Light Up & Breathe.
