Seven Years of Humble Warrior
Seven Years of
Showing Up.
Community & Staff Appreciation Month • Manchester • Bedford • Exeter • Kittery
Seven years ago, this studio was a spark of belief that community could be the practice, not just the backdrop to it. Today, I am sitting in the fullness of that belief, completely humbled.
June is our birthday month, and this year Humble Warrior Power Yoga is turning seven. Seven years of bare feet on warm infrared floors, of breath syncing in dim-lit rooms, of strangers becoming people who hold each other up outside these walls. Seven years of sweat and music and the particular kind of quiet that settles over a room right after savasana, when everyone has forgotten, for a moment, what was heavy.
Across our four locations in Manchester, Bedford, Exeter, and Kittery, we have built something that still takes my breath away. And I do not take a single day of it for granted.
This month, we are pausing to do something we do not do often enough: look around the room and say, out loud, thank you. To every person who has ever unrolled a mat here. To every member of this team who has given their energy, their art, and their heart to this place. This post is for you.
You Are the Practice
Whether you walked through our doors on opening day in 2019, or whether you took your very first hot yoga class yesterday, you belong to the same story. There is no tier of membership in a community like this. The person who has practiced with us across every location we have ever opened, and the person who found us last Tuesday searching for a yoga studio near Manchester NH or Kittery ME, are both woven into what Humble Warrior is. You chose to show up, and that choice matters more than you know.
Our mission has always been to awaken inner strength in every student through yoga, community, and personal transformation. But here is what I have learned across seven years of running this studio: the mission does not flow in one direction. You awaken something in us, too. Every time you push through a hard infrared power yoga class, return to the mat after a long absence without apology, or bring a friend through our doors for the first time, you remind us exactly why we built this place.
I am deeply, completely, and permanently grateful for every single person who has ever chosen to spend any part of their day within these walls. You are not our customers. You are the reason this community breathes.
I think about the opening day crowd, nervous and hopeful and full of something that felt a little like the first day of school. And then I think about every first class since then, every person who walked into one of our Southern NH or Seacoast studios not knowing what to expect, maybe a little unsure, and left feeling something they did not quite have words for yet. That arc, from uncertain first step to belonging, is the whole point. That is the Humble Warrior experience. And you have created it, over and over, for seven years.
To every member who has been with us through transitions, through new locations, through the evolution of what this studio is becoming: your loyalty is something I hold with enormous care. I do not take it lightly that you keep choosing us. In a world with no shortage of options for hot yoga and infrared fitness in New Hampshire and Maine, you keep coming back. That is generosity. That is trust. And I am genuinely humbled by it.
The Artists Who Give
I want to take a moment to speak directly about the people who make this studio run, from our Sunbeams at the front desk to the artists standing at the front of the room.
Our Sunbeams are the first energy every single person feels when they walk through the door. They carry the light of welcome. They remember names, notice when someone seems off, and hold a thousand small details together so that every visit feels seamless and warm. That work is not invisible to me. I see it deeply. The way our Sunbeams show up for this studio, for our students, and for each other reflects a level of care that you simply cannot train into someone. You either have it, or you do not. Our Sunbeams have it in abundance.
And then there are our teachers.
I want to be honest about what it means to step in front of a room and teach. It is an act of creative courage every single time. Our instructors do not simply lead sequences through the infrared heat. They show up as artists. They curate playlists that move people on a cellular level. They craft words that land in the body, not just the mind. They weave their own stories, vulnerabilities, and growth into the container of a class and offer it, openly, to every single person in that room. That is not a job. That is a gift.
Every class is an original work. Our teachers open something personal every time they step in front of this community, and they do it with a generosity that takes my breath away.
What moves me most is the way this team supports one another. The culture of care among our staff across all four studios, the way they cheer each other on, grow together, and hold the mission of Humble Warrior as their own, that did not happen by accident. And it cannot be manufactured from the top down. It is something this team built themselves. I am so proud of them. I am so grateful for them.
To every instructor who has ever taught a class at Humble Warrior Power Yoga, past and present: you have left something in this studio. Your presence lives in the people who practiced with you, in the ways they moved and breathed and thought about themselves differently because of something you said. That is a legacy. Thank you for sharing your art here.
The Party is On
Seven years calls for something special. We are taking the practice outside and bringing the whole community together for a free birthday celebration you do not want to miss. Yoga on the Hill at The Hill Bar and Grille in Manchester, a live DJ, boutique shopping, and the energy of every person who has ever called themselves a Humble Warrior, all in one place.
Come move, come celebrate, come feel what seven years of community looks and feels like when it spills out onto the lawn.

Still Becoming
Seven years in, and I am more in love with this work than I have ever been. Humble Warrior Power Yoga is growing, evolving, and reaching toward a version of this studio that serves our Southern NH and Seacoast community even more deeply than we do today. The mission has not changed: awaken inner strength, build real community, create space for genuine transformation through the power of yoga, infrared heat, and human connection. But how we deliver on that mission keeps expanding.
This birthday month, I am not celebrating what we have built as much as I am celebrating the people we have built it with. The community who showed up at our Manchester studio, our Bedford studio, our Exeter studio, our Kittery studio, and everywhere in between. The Sunbeams who held the door open with a smile. The teachers who gave their art. The vision that two grassroots women held and refused to put down.
I am humbled. I am grateful. I am honored to be seven years in, with all of you.
Thank you for being Humble Warriors.
